| @twitcaps hi, we are Japanese twitter resources site tweeter.jp | 2009/09/25(金) 08:33:39 | |
| @twitcaps I found your twitcaps won’t work with 2 byte characters. Must be ENT_QUOTES option of htmlspecialchars or htmlentities.
| @twitcaps Since twitcaps is great, I appreciate that if you could fix that for us.
 |
@tweeterjp – I will take a look at that this evening. Database is all up to snuff with special characters so I’ll investigate the framework.
| @twitcaps thanks a lot. If the db charset is UTF-8, it must be the 2 functions I specified, if you use PHP. Can’t wait to see it works.
| @twitcaps if the cause is those 2 functions, just adding ENT_QUOTES option will fixt it. That always happens to me when I localize Engli …
|
@tweeterjp – Twitcaps is written in Groovy/Java using the Grails framework. Hopefully the solution is as simple as the PHP one.
|
@tweeterjp – I’ll let you know when I figure this out. Thanks for the help! | 2009/09/25(金) 09:59:34 |
|
@tweeterjp – Try it out now. Special characters should be working for you. Let me know if otherwise. Thanks again for the feedback!
| @twitcaps Nope, try “画像” as a query without “” then the keyword corrputs.
|
@tweeterjp – Hey you got to that quicker than I expected =) I’m cycling the server. It’s back up now… | 2009/09/25(金) 20:04:16 |
| @twitcaps cool LMK when its cycled 😉 | 2009/09/25(金) 20:04:42 | |
|
@tweeterjp – It’s looking good. I tested it with 日本語, but you may try some more complex queries. Appreciate the help of an unpaid tester =) | 2009/09/25(金) 20:07:50 |
| @twitcaps Working perfectly. I will publish an article today about twitcaps!
|
@tweeterjp – You are awesome! Thanks so much for the help, wouldn’t have even known there was a problem in the first place.
